Visual Communication

To explore an object related to the theme of 'growth' in graphic communication, promoting the critical examination and development of ideas, two-dimensional spaces, and three-dimensional structures, including the relationship between production methods and materials.

I chose the rose as my object. Beyond the physical growth of a rose from seed to blossoming into a beautiful flower, the rose also holds another beautiful meaning related to the theme of 'growth.' Roses naturally appear in someone's life from the day they are born and are often given as meaningful gifts to celebrate milestones. As individuals grow and achieve success, roses are given as a form of emotional support. During happy moments like weddings, roses are present. Even in times of loss, roses are given to express both love and grief.

The presence of a rose in our lives is intricately connected to the theme of 'growth' as it symbolizes the various stages of human experience. From birth to achievements, celebrations, and even moments of loss, the rose serves as a timeless and versatile emblem of emotional and personal growth. Its enduring significance in our lives mirrors the profound and ever-evolving nature of our own journeys, making it a poignant representation of the theme 'growth' in the context of graphic communication.
